Chapter 154 - Life is Better Now

Perhaps because I have failed to record daily notes her condition seems to have stabilised, although I expect I am not as conscious of her difficulties as I should be unless I ask.

On December 30th we met our friends from Cane Toad Land at Halfway Town for lunch at the club we joined the last time we visited. Then on New Year's Eve we had dinner at our local club with a group from our village, although we declined seeing out the old year at our hall.

Then last weekend we had old (in both meanings) friends stay with us, so she had entertaining female company.

Since Xmas she has been sorting through the thousands of embroidery files she has on disk, occasionally choosing one to stitch. For no particular reason, just for the pleasure of it. We even bought a stock of craft felt so she has no need to steal from mine. Yesterday she tired herself raising the cuffs on the two pairs of trousers she encouraged me to buy recently. That is quite a milestone, as she has not been able to do such things in a long time.

Her weekly visit to have her leg dressed continues each Monday. And this week we go by train to Big Smoke to have my left eye attended to.
